Agency approves administrative measures, updates on major projects

NJ EAST BRUNSWICK — Redevelopment Agency approves additional planner services and the bill list for 2026. Vice Chair Rachel Cohen presided over the meeting with six commissioners in attendance, with Chairman Wendell absent. The Agency unanimously approved Resolution No. 2026020 qualifying additional redevelopment planner services and Resolution No. 2026021 approving the bill list.
Executive Director Robert Zuckerman reported the first phase of Vermella townhouses is complete and includes a coffee shop, high-end supermarket, two restaurants, and a park; both the park and mall are scheduled for year-end completion. Scott Loventhal from Garden Homes updated the Agency that Legacy Place construction is nearly complete with townhomes 98 percent occupied and Building A2, completed in March 2026, at 50 percent occupancy.
