NJ EAST BRUNSWICK — Planning Board approves Brunswick Square Mall Redevelopment Plan in unanimous consistency determination. The phased plan, presented by township planner Kate Keller, maintains retail as the site's primary use while permitting up to 250 residential units on the Macy's property, with a required 20 percent affordable housing set-aside generating up to 50 units. The plan approval enables the township to address its Fourth Round fair share affordable housing obligation of 296 units; all 11 board members voted to find the plan not inconsistent with the township's master plan and housing element.
