NJ EAST BRUNSWICK — Planning Board approves digital billboard conversion; Lamar Advertising won unanimous 10-0 approval to convert one static billboard face to digital LED at 367 Dunhams Corner Road, leased from the East Brunswick Baseball League. Conditions include 8-second message display times, no flashing or scrolling, and guaranteed public service message slots every other minute at no cost to the township. The municipality can advertise its $30 million ice skating facility and water park.
Baseball League General Manager Daniel Nigro testified that Lamar fronted lease payments enabling the league to improve fields. Construction must occur when the facility is not in use.
